EHL Team Heads South -- EHLP Team Opens Season

TEWKSBURY, MA -- By the end of the weekend all 29 combined teams between the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) will have played at least their first game of the season. The Rangers' EHL team is set for games #2 and #3, while the EHLP team kicks off its season on Sunday.

"Every weekend in this league is big, but it's always important to get off to a fast start," said Rangers head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "Our EHL guys did well in their opener and now it's time to build off of that, and the same can be said for the EHLP team that starts things up on Sunday."

For the EHL team their season opener this past Sunday was a tight, low-scoring affair with the New Hampshire Avalanche. After falling behind and getting outplayed in the 1st period, the Rangers battled back to tie the game in the 2nd and then win the game in the 3rd. Danny Sorabella led the way on offense with the GWG and an assist, while Nolan Egbert stopped 38 of the 39 shots he faced between the pipes.

Below you'll find all of the game information for both Rangers teams this weekend.
