EHL and EHLP Teams Return to Action After the Holiday

TEWKSBURY, MA --The players are returning back to Breakaway Ice Center after the Thanksgiving weekend, and both Rangers squads will get right back to work with each team heading out on a three-game road trip. Going into the week, the EHL squad sits in 1st place of the Boston Division and is ranked #2 in the last edition of the EHL Power Rankings with a record of 17-5-0. The EHLP team is having a great season as well with a record of 16-1-2 through the first 19 games.

EHL

On Wednesday, the EHL squad will start off a three-game road trip in Walpole as they are set to battle the Express at 12:30pm. This will be the fourth match-up between the two teams this season with the Express winning the first one in Walpole, and the Rangers grabbing the next two games in Tewksbury. The last matchup ended in a 5-1 Rangers win earlier in November, with Zach Norby leading the way with two power-play goals and three total points.

Going into the week, the Express currently sit in 2nd place in the Boston Division with a record of 13-5-3, and are five points behind the 1st place Rangers. They are sitting in the #5 spot of the EHL Power Rankings.

On Saturday, the boys will join the EHLP squad up in Burlington to play a pair of games against the Vermont Lumberjacks. This will mark the first meeting of four between the two teams this season. The first matchup is scheduled for 7:00pm on Saturday night, and then the boys will get right back at it the very next day with a noontime puck drop.

The Lumberjacks EHL team currently sits in 2nd place of the New England Division with a record of 14-6-0 and are 0-1-0 against Boston Division opponents so far this season.

EHLP

The EHLP squad will start an exciting three-game road trip against the 1st place Vermont Lumberjacks on Friday.  The Rangers currently trail the Lumberjacks by just two points in the North Conference, as this weekend could result in a new 1st place team. The two teams have already played each other once this season, with the Rangers coming away with a 5-1 victory in Tewksbury. Steve Wesley scored two goals, while Danila Larionovs collected three assists in the win back in October.

The boys will arrive in Burlington on Friday night as the first matchup is scheduled for 7:30pm. Game #2 of the series is scheduled for 4:00pm on Saturday, and the two teams will wrap-up the series with a 9:00am puck drop on Sunday morning. The two division rivals wont square off again until they meet for another three-game series down in Tewksbury in the middle of February.

Looking Ahead

After the games this weekend, the EHL team will play the Total Athletic Seahawks next Thursday, followed by a home-and-home series with the Valley Jr. Warriors the following weekend.

After the three-game set with the Lumberjacks, the EHLP team will travel with the EHL squad next weekend for a home-and-home series with the Warriors as well.
