Program Overview

The Boston Junior Rangers, out of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, were established in 2008. While the Rangers strive to compete for championships at all levels on a yearly basis, the main goal of the organization is to develop its players to their maximum potential.

Formerly the Boston Red Rangers, the Junior Rangers were comprised of only youth teams until the Junior Program was established in 2012.

The Junior "A" team competed in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League for their 2012-2013 inaugural season, and then entered the Eastern Hockey League in the Fall of 2013. Now known as our EHL team, the Junior A team has earned a playoff birth in all three seasons in which it has competed. Along with their on-ice success, the EHL team has seen 35 former players move on to compete at the collegiate level.

The Junior "B" team competed in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League (MET) for their first three seasons. The "B" team has seen great success since it's inception, making it to the league championship all three seasons, and winning the MET league in 2015 to earn a trip to nationals.

Along with promoting over 25 of their players to the Rangers "A" team in the past three seasons, the Junior "B" team has also seen several of their players commit to play at the collegiate level, including two players committing to Division I programs. The Junior "B" team, now known as the Rangers EHLP team, joined the league in 2015 and now competes in their Eastern Hockey League Premier division.
