EHL Team Rolls into November

TEWKSBURY, MA -- After dropping their season opener in a shootout defeat at the hands of the New Hampshire Avalanche, the Rangers top team that plays in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), has been simply on fire. Owning the longest active winning streak in the league at eight games, has helped the defending Regular Season Champions climb their way up to 1st place in the New England Conference.

As for the Rangers team that plays in the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP), the start of the year has also been solid at this level. The three-time defending Regular Season Champions own a mark of 4-1-2 in their first seven games, and sit in 1st place of the Central Division.

EHL

Looking back on this past week and the Rangers' EHL squad headed down to Connecticut for a trio of games in Simsbury. Over the three-game stretch, the Rangers outscored their opponents by a margin of 16-5, earning two victories over the Seacoast Spartans, and a single win over the Railers Junior Hockey Club.

While the offense accounts as arguably the top 12-minute unit in the league, the defense has been impressive as well. All and all, the team is back-boned by Nathan Mueller  and Brogan Mcdonald  between the pipes, with Mueller recently getting recognized with Goalie of the Month honors for October.

Coming up the Rangers have six more games before the Thanksgiving holiday, with three games scheduled to take the team on the road, and three games at home.

EHLP

It appears as though the Rangers' EHLP has completed avenged a 1-0 shootout loss that the team suffered earlier this season to the Maine Eclipse.

Since that defeat on October 17th, the Rangers beat the Eclipse by the score of 9-2, and 6-0, in a game that took place this past week. A total of 11 players tallied at least a point in the shutout victory, with Owen Daniels leading the way with a three-point game. Between the pipes, Logan Palmer made 28 saves while earning his first shutout of the year.

The EHLP team will also remain busy up until Thanksgiving, with eight games of their own leading up to the holiday.
