TEWKSBURY, MA -- Jack Karges, a forward for the Boston Jr Rangers, has committed to MSOE for fall of 2022.

The '01 native of Champlin, MN came back to BJR for his final season of his junior hockey career. Jack is a reigning EHL champion with the Rangers and is pushing to go back-to-back this year.

“Jack is a second year player for us and has really grown into a great college level player,” explained Coach DeCaprio. “He’s one of the better 2 way centers we’ve had.”

Both seasons with BJR combined, Jack has a total of 40 point with 12 goals and 28 assists. His ability to be successful on both offense and defense has helped the Rangers to stay on top throughout the 2021-2022 season as well as earn a “C” on his jersey this season.

“The culture at BJR embraced my work ethic and helped me to thrive and better myself through my junior hockey career,” said Karges. “Coach DeCaprio has given me all of the opportunities I could ever need to prove myself in the game.”

Aside from hockey, Jack looks forward to the strong academics and career opportunities that MSOE offers. He is furthering his education as a Finance major in Business Administration. “We are very happy for him and the opportunity he has earned to play at a great school with a great hockey program,” Coach said.

Jack is excited to play in a familiar environment with a reputable reputation. “The fact that it was close to home made it a school I had my eyes on since the start of the year,” explained Jack.

“I’d like to thank my teammates, coaches, my advisor and most importantly, my parents– without my parents I would not be able to have the opportunity to achieve my dreams.”
