Rangers Head North For Set of Games in Vermont

TEWKSBURY, MA -- As we turn over our calendars to February, Super Bowl weekend presents a big challenge for both Rangers teams. The teams will ride together and each face-off with the Vermont Lumberjacks for a pair of games in Burlington.

"This is always a difficult trip, for all the teams in the EHL," said Rangers Premier head coach Rich DeCaprio. "Vermont plays very well in their own building, and Ryan [Blair] and I are looking forward to seeing how each of our teams responds to the challenge."

PREMIER PREVIEW

WEDNESDAY 2/1 - The Rangers Premier team has one more game then the 19U Elite team this week, as they get set for a rematch with Warriors this afternoon. The last time the Rangers faced the Warriors, it didn't go as planned, as Valley ended the team's 11-game winning streak. This is the 4th and final matchup between the two teams in the regular season.

SATURDAY 2/4 and SUNDAY 2/5 - The pair of games with Vermont also wraps up the season series with the Lumberjacks. The first two matchups in Tewksbury could have gone either way, with each game needing extra time to determine a winner. The Rangers won each game back in December, by scores of 4-3 (OT) and 3-2 (SO).

19U ELITE PREVIEW

SATURDAY 2/4 and SUNDAY 2/5 - The pattern that appears when you flip over to the Elite matchups is almost identical in comparison to the Premier. Back in December, Vermont won the 1st matchup 4-3 (OT) and the 2nd matchup 3-2. The Lumberjacks have been at the top of the North Conference standings all year, while the Rangers begin the week in sole possession of 5th place.
