TEWKSBURY, MA -- After a difficult week for the Rangers, both the Premier and Elite teams get to flip the script with a full weekend of action ahead of them.
"Last weekend was tough for both teams," said Rangers Premier head coach Rich DeCaprio. "Our Premier team came away with the only victory of the weekend, so now we reset with goals of four points for each team."
FRIDAY 2/10 - The weekend begins with another battle with the Walpole Express. In the first three matchups of the season, each game needed extra time to determine a winner. Back on October 2nd, the Express came away victorious 2-1 via a shootout. The Rangers turned the tables with a 3-2 overtime victory on December 9th, and a 5-4 overtime win on January 19th. Will the final regular season matchup need extra time? We'll find out this afternoon at 1:00pm.
Saturday 2/11 - A quick turn around for the Rangers sends the team up to New Hampshire on Saturday. The matchup with the Monarchs also wraps up the season series with New Hampshire. The Rangers have won 2 of the first 3 games this year, and Saturday's game is at SNHU Arena in downtown Manchester.
Saturday 2/11 - The Elite team's weekend begins with a another test against the Boston Bandits. Heading into the weekend, the Bandits are in 2nd place in the North Conference. The Bandits have knocked off the Rangers in each of the first two matchups this season, by scores of 7-2 and 6-2. The final regular season matchup between the two teams is scheduled for February 15th.
Sunday 2/12 - The Rangers hit the road the next day for a matchup with the New England Wolves, a team that enters this contest having won four games in a row. The two teams have only faced-off once so far this season, with Nick Cramer scoring the overtime winner in a 3-2 victory back on December 4th.
