Big Matchups for Both Rangers Teams

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Hockey is officially back for the Boston Jr. Rangers, as now both the EHL and EHLP teams have each played at least 1 game. The EHL team is off to a hot start as they enter a new week with a perfect 3-0-0 record, while the EHLP team seeks its first win after dropping their season opener this past Sunday.

"While on paper it looks like we have teams going in different directions, Ryan [Blair] and I are both happy with where each of our teams are at," said Rangers EHL head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "Our EHL guys are definitely off to a good start, but we've only played 3 of the 50 total games, so there is obviously still a lot of work left."

The EHL team improved to 3-0-0 this past weekend after picking up a pair of road wins in New York. The trip began with a 6-3 win over the New York Applecore on Saturday, and then concluded with an 8-1 victory over the New York Bobcats Royals on Sunday. The scoring was distributed well throughout the roster, with Nick Grinvalds was named a TSR Hockey Star of the Week by the EHL.

Flipping over to the EHLP, and the Rangers only had one game this past weekend, and the final result wasn't in their favor. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead, the Walpole Express exploded for five unanswered goals in the 3rd period on their way to the victory. Brad Bowes lit the lamp twice for the Rangers.

Below you'll find all of the game information for both Rangers teams this weekend, as each team has a set of tough tasks in front of them.

Catch all the action live on HockeyTV, and be sure to follow the Rangers on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) for all the latest news and updates.
