EHL Team Travels to Walpole for First Showcase

WALPOLE, MA -- The Rangers will look to get back on track this weekend when they travel down to Rodman Arena for the first showcase of the season. The team is set to face-off against a pair of Central Division opponents on Friday and Saturday. First on Friday, the boys will take on the New York Applecore for the first time this season. The Applecore currently sit in 3rd place in the Central Division with a record of 2-6-1. Matthew Boring leads New York in scoring with 8 points in 9 games.

Shifting over to Saturday, the Rangers will square off against the Connecticut Roughriders in a battle of two 1st place teams. The Roughriders will head into the showcase with a record of 7-4-0, sitting at the top of the Central Division. Cullen Kane leads Connecticut in scoring with 21 points in the first 11 games of the year.

"Each game brings a different challenge for our team," said Rangers EHL head coach and general manager Rich DeCaprio. "You can't look past any team in this league, and we have to be ready to go each day in Walpole."

Despite Monday’s loss to the East Coast Wizards, the Rangers still sit at the top of the Boston Division with a record of 7-2-0. September’s EHL Goalie of the Month, Nolan Egbert, and the rest of the squad will look to pad their division lead even more with a couple of wins this weekend.
