EHLP Team Travels to Brewster for First Showcase

BREWSTER, NY -- The 3-1-1 Rangers EHLP squad will head south this weekend for the first showcase of the season. The Rangers will play 3 teams in 3 days from the South Conference as the boys look to extend their current 3-game winning streak.

On Saturday, the Rangers will go up against the 5-3-0 New Jersey Renegades at 2:30pm. This is the first of 2 match-ups between the 2 teams this season. The Renegades have only played 1 team so far from the North Conference when they lost to the Vermont Lumberjacks by the score of 7-3. They are lead by forward Alec Dugan, who has 12 points in 8 games.

Shifting gears to Sunday, the Rangers will square off against Brewster’s own New York Applecore at 3:50pm. The 7th place Applecore have struggled so far this season as they are 0-7 going into the first EHLP showcase. They are currently 0-4 against North Conference teams, losing to both the Lumberjacks and the Wolves last weekend.

On the final day of the showcase the Rangers will battle the 1-6-0 Jersey Wildcats. They have yet to play anyone from the North Conference and their only win game against the Central Penn Panthers, beating them by the score 3-2.

The combined record of the teams that the Rangers are playing in the showcase is 6-16-0, which means this is a great chance for the EHLP team to pick up some points and make up some ground in the North Conference. Going into the weekend, the Rangers have 7 points and sit in 3rd place in the conference behind the Lumberjacks and the Walpole Express.
